Position Summary :

Provides direct patient care to employees, volunteers and physicians in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

P erforms pre-employment and annual health assessment, testing and immunizations.

Provides general healthcare, well-being and safety information/counseling to employees, volunteers and providers.

Provides educational counseling for new and current team members/volunteers for health and safety related issues.

Administers drug test and immunizations for new hire processing.

Monitors and implements the Workers Compensation program in collaboration with Human Resources.

Manages the facilities Wellness Program for the employees.

Collaborates with Safety, Infection Prevention and other departments to identify and resolve unsafe working conditions.

Maintains EHS compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, NMDOH and other state and federal regulations.

Manages return to work of team members for occupational and non-occupational injuries.

Coordinates FML, General Leave and other leaves for MMC Team Members.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's and/or Master's Preferred. Current license as an RN in New Mexico or compact license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • ACLS is required for all areas where moderate sedation is performed.
  • New Hires: Required certification must be obtained within one year of employment. If currently certified, must maintain current certification. Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center
  • Experience in an Acute Care Facility preferred.
